The venue

We’ll gather in a beautiful, art-filled villa with city views in one of the coolest neighborhoods in Mexico City. Our home base is a lux three-level house complete with a stunning rooftop terrace and outdoor kitchen. There are eight stylish bedrooms (some with balconies), as well as common areas with wifi that are well suited for working and workshops.

The City

Our villa is in a central location in Mexico City, a place buzzing with creativity, culture, and inspiration. Think alfresco workshops in a courtyard, incredible food, and the energy of one of the world’s most vibrant cities.

You’ll fly into Mexico City, where you can take a quick cab to our retreat spot. We’ll help you arrange your travel to make sure you’re where you need to be when we get started. If you’ve been to Mexico City, you already know how amazing it is. If you haven’t been, get ready to find out.

Direct flights come into Mexico City from all over the world. Mexico City is only a 2h30 min flight from Houston, a 3hr40 min flight from LAX, and 4hr flight from Chicago. Plan to arrive by 5:00 pm on May 13 and depart the morning of May 16. Lodging covers three nights: May 13, May 14, and May 15. It is easy and reasonably-priced to get a taxi from the airport to the retreat venue.

We’ve done this before

As two established solopreneurs, we believe that businesses are run on community and connection. New Narratives is a natural extension.

How did this start? Emma hosted a retreat in 2019 and mentioned in her newsletter that she wanted to do it again. That resonated with Renee, who’d been thinking about the same thing. She replied to Emma, and a partnership was born.

We hosted our first retreat in Playa Negra, Costa Rica, and knew we had something special. We surveyed attendees and were overjoyed by just how much value they got–they ranked the retreat as 5 stars across the board.

  • A narrative is a story– and you need to own yours. Plus, you need a new one. What is the story you’re telling yourself about your business and your life? Is it the right one, the one that feels most like you and helps you meet your goals? The goal of this retreat is to tell a new story and build a community of people to help you tell it.

  • Our retreat includes a lot of activities, several meals, valuable business workshops, and a beautiful house that will be our home base. You can buy a retreat ticket with or without accommodation. We do not cover airfare and transportation.

  • Absolutely! Friends make everything better. In fact, if you travel with a friend, we’ll extend a discount to you both. Simply reach out to us at info@newnarratives.club and we’ll honor the discount. Coming solo is cool, too. You’ll leave with friends.

  • No. This event is all about you—not about us. We want to provide you with as much value as possible, so we promise not to sell you on anything. We are playing around with offering a paid virtual community to open up the experience to those who can’t travel and keep us connected after this retreat. We may talk about this at the retreat, but there’s no hard sell.

  • Cancellations 90 days before the event will be honored in full. You will receive a 50% refund if you cancel 60 days before the event. If you decide to cancel less than 60 days before the event, you will not receive a refund but you can transfer your spot to someone else. The workshop organizers reserve the right to cancel if less than 10 qualified participants apply. In this unlikely scenario, you will be refunded in full. (Note: We are not responsible for reimbursing any transportation expenses).
